The wonderful rhythm of ritual
February 6, 2016
I am feeling SO AMAZING. It is day five and I can barely handle how fantastic I feel! I do NOT smell anymore, that was a really quick balance, and my skin feels incredible and super soft. I am finding myself burning through this food. I am hungry every three to four hours and make my way to the kitchen for a nice handful sized meal. My body is definitely adjusting to the fibers and fats and learning how to get fuel from them rather than the fermenting fruits in my tummy, though I will be excited to start adding smoothies back into my life. I am also being very aware of my water intake, this much fiber and no water will mess your poop schedule up somethin fierce!
I truly believe that the more structure we have around our lives pertaining consistency the greater achievements we can make. I am DEFINITELY not suggesting never leaving home or never quitting your job DO THOSE THINGS. I am implying that ritual and routine are very healthy life choices to make.
To ensure that you are getting adequate sleep and that is it fairly consistent day to day. That you are diligent with self care - taking care of your body, skin, mood, spirit. Definitely drinking enough water all day every day! Taking courses or classes, meeting friends at certain times or days and generally following some form of consistency.
Things I am VERY grateful to be doing now that I am settled agian is:
Writing morning pages and evening affirmations. I keep a journal beside my bed, at the end of the night I let go of the day and set an affirmation for healing through the night. When I awake in the morning I do morning pages http://juliacameronlive.com/basic-tools/morning-pages to free myself from all the emotions and thoughts and happenings of the night. I also use this as a reflection tool of how my dream time played out to my affirmations, cross reference it with what is going on in my life and analyze my interpretation of the dream. I usually burn my pages every month during the full moon and let it aaaallll go!
Preparing my food ahead of time. Knowing I am taking these steps to better myself and my day, by preparing enough food at once for two or three meals, ensuring my health and vitality.
Drinking adequate water.
Having a daily morning yoga and meditation practice.
Budgeting and task management of my resources and my money.
Seeking out routine in other forms, classes, gyms, commuities, activities
Having all my things have a place/ being organized
Taking on NEW tasks and ventures.
The more effortless daily activities become, the more room you have in your life for expansion, the more you will be willing to allow magic into your life, to meet a stranger on the street, to stop your car suddenly to enter a new store, to impulse buy something or jump into a new hobby, all this is possible when you need to think less about your self care and day to day survival/thrival.
I am continually evolving and inspiring myself, and that is all I wish to accomplish at this moment in life.
My new mantra is "Do something today to remember yourself by"
